
Tyreek Anderson was referred to NHN by his SkillUP case manager to receive supportive services for community violence. Customer is a gunshot survivor that was issued a referral to CVC for individual counseling. The participant enrolled in the SkillUP program in October 2023 already employed with Rancho Manor and Rehab Healthcare center. Due to personal reason he paused his participation in Dec/23 to Jan/24 in the Skillup program, but returned in Feb/24 to continue his career pathway. He completed all requirements of the Skillup program and met every milestone. Upon successful completion of his CMT certification he was able to obtain a promotion from being a Certified Nurses Assistance to a Certified Med Technician this change in title also came with an increase in salary from $16 an hour to $18 an hour. Despite some financial struggles, NHN was able to offers supportive services to the client for rental assistance. This barrier did not keep Mr. Anderson from reaching his desire to become a CMT. He is currently seeking a financial literacy program that will give him the tools for budgeting, making better financial decisions and increasing his knowledge of investing.
