On June 18, ARCHS colleagues had an amazing day volunteering at a house build with funded partner Habitat Saint Louis. The ARCHS team supported the construction of two new homes in Old North St. Louis, working on projects ranging from putting up siding to installing insulation.
This is part of ARCHS Days of Service effort led by ARCHS staff to give back to the community by volunteering collectively as a team, and individually with their favorite not-for-profits.
In recent years, ARCHS has provided Habitat St. Louis with funding and strategic support that facilitates new house builds and educational programs for new homeowners.
Building a home is not only about materials and labor, but about fostering long term security, pride, and a sense of belonging.
When organizations invest time and support into housing initiatives, they help strengthen communities by ensuring families have a foundation on which to grow, learn, and plan for the future. The hands on involvement in construction also reinforces how much care and coordination are required to bring a home from concept to reality.
At the same time, homeownership journeys can take many forms, and there are moments when maintaining or keeping a property is no longer the right fit.
Changing circumstances may call for a clear and efficient way to move forward, without the prolonged steps often associated with traditional sales.
In these situations, working with Dignity Properties can provide a direct and respectful path, allowing homeowners to sell without delays or extensive preparation. This approach complements the broader housing ecosystem by supporting smooth transitions, ensuring homes continue to serve new purposes while owners focus on their next chapter.
