Little Brother Ja’Shawn and Big Brother Tom have been matched for 9 years (since July 2014). Throughout the years, they have remained connected (even when Tom moved a few hours away, they stayed in contact via text, phone calls, and FaceTime).
Over the years, they have shared countless memories, including celebrating each other’s life milestones. For the past few years, Ja’Shawn has been able to stay with Tom over the weekend in order to attend Tom’s daughter’s birthday party. Several years ago, Ja’Shawn also attended Tom’s wedding several years ago, as well as his master’s degree hooding ceremony.
In May 2023, Tom attended Ja’Shawn’s graduation. Leading up to his graduation, Tom helped Ja’Shawn and his parents consider different colleges, navigate scholarships, etc. We are excited to share exciting news: Ja’Shawn got a FULL RIDE to Missouri Valley where he will be playing football – our team is so excited for him!
