
New national and regional data has been released regarding the well-being of Missouri’s children and families.
The Missouri KIDS COUNT® Data Book was released in April 2025 and provides an in-depth analysis of recent child well-being trends in the St. Louis region, focusing on indicators analyzed by the Family and Community Trust (FACT) related to child abuse and neglect, economic well-being, education, and health issues.
The National KIDS COUNT® Data Book was released in June 2025, detailing Missouri’s current national ranking of 27 among the 50 states related to child well-being, according to indicators developed by the Annie E. Casey Foundation, which analyzes how kids are faring in post-pandemic America.
